Nicole Tomlinson

My name is Nicole and I grew up in Vassar, a small town in the thumb of Michigan.  I have lived in Ohio for the past 22 years and been in Perrysburg since 2015.  I live with my husband of 22 years and my 4 handsome sons. 

Since I was a child, I have loved competing in sports.  I was a 3-sport athlete in high school, and my achievements helped me obtain a scholarship to Saginaw Valley State University for track and field.  During my time there I set multiple school and conference records as well as earned All-American status in the triple jump.

 After graduating with a degree in Athletic Training in 2004, I moved to Toledo with my husband where I started my career as a physical therapy clinic and high school athletic trainer at Notre Dame Academy.  I practiced as an athletic trainer until 2013 when I decided it was time to be a stay-at-home mom.

My start in CrossFit was when I won a yearlong membership to CrossFit Fenix through a silent auction and decided to give it a shot.  It has given me a way to fulfill my competitive drive as well as keep myself in shape.  I decided to obtain my Level I coaching certificate in January of 2026, and I have not looked back.  Being part of CrossFit Fenix has given me the opportunity to not only continue to improve my fitness, but also become part of a wonderful community of motivated people that drive me to continue my fitness journey.
